Terms of Use

Terms of Use

Effective September 26, 2026. These terms cover the Sturdy iPhone app, Sturdy Pro subscriptions and this website.

Acceptance

By downloading or using Sturdy or this website, you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). If you do not agree, please do not use Sturdy.

What Sturdy is, and isn't

Sturdy is an exercise-planning, nutrition-logging and personal record-keeping tool for adults. It offers general strength and mobility content, a place to log protein, and optional records of medication you've been prescribed.

Sturdy is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. It does not recommend, calculate or change medication doses or schedules. It does not claim to prevent muscle loss, bone loss or any other condition.

  • Talk with your clinician before starting or changing exercise or nutrition, especially if you have a medical condition, a recent injury or fracture, or exercise restrictions.
  • Stop exercising if you feel sharp pain, dizziness, faintness, chest discomfort or unusual shortness of breath, and seek medical help when appropriate.
  • Exercise content is general and not tailored to your medical history. You decide what is appropriate for you.
  • Medication records are stored exactly as you enter them. Always follow your prescriber's directions and your product's official instructions.
  • Food values in the app and on this website are typical estimates. Check labels when accuracy matters.

Sturdy Pro subscriptions

Sturdy is free to download. Sturdy Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription offered weekly or yearly. The yearly plan may include a free trial for eligible new subscribers. Current prices, billing periods and trial terms are shown in the app before you buy and in the App Store in your local currency.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or from Sturdy's Settings screen. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Use "Restore Purchases" in the app to reactivate Pro on a new device with the same Apple ID.

If Pro ends, everything you've recorded remains available to view and export. Only Pro features stop working.

Your data

Sturdy has no account. Your records are stored on your device, as described in the Privacy Policy. You're responsible for your own device backups; we can't recover data you delete, because we never have a copy.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Sturdy on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows it. Website content and printables may be printed for personal, non-commercial use.

Acceptable use

Use Sturdy for its intended personal purpose and in compliance with applicable law. Don't attempt to interfere with, probe or disrupt the app or website.

Availability and changes

We may update, change or discontinue features. We'll describe significant changes in App Store release notes. We don't guarantee compatibility with every iOS version.

Disclaimer of warranties

Sturdy and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer of Sturdy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including injury, health outcomes or data loss, arising from your use of the app or website. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

Termination

You can stop using Sturdy at any time by deleting it. We may end this license if you materially breach these terms.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the effective date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
